Blackwing Coffee Bar – My Office Away from the Office

Like many small businesses over the last decade or two, the trend has been to work from home, more and more, kind of like having your office away from the office.

And if you’re a one or two person company, an office in your home may be all you ever need.

It’s affordable, there’s no commute, so it’s convenient, and hopefully comfortable.

I’ve had offices in shared office centers, and even rented large offices in high-rise office buildings when it was necessary.

Both those were days when I had dozens or more people working for me in my corporate life.

Since I started Cambridge Digital Marketing in 2010, I pretty much do the most of the work on my own, and I use contractors occasionally, when a project either exceeds my time capacity, or more so, required some very specialized work, by another professional.

The Time Has Come For Cambridge Go Trains

Premiere Wynne announces that Ontario will fund an $11 Billion Ultra High Speed rail from Toronto through Kitchener and London which is currently served by both VIA Rail and Go Transit. The $11 Billion is just phase one, BTW. The total cost is projected at $20 – 25 Billion. To put that in perspective, that’s $1785.00 per capita, per Ontario resident. Go Transit, has also extended Go Train Service along the Lakeshore Go Line with more frequent trains and extended hours.
Faster trains are cool, but we still don’t have ANY TRAINS AT ALL to Cambridge?

Tesla Opens Supercharger Station in Cambridge, Ontario

Its what Tesla is calling it a Supercharger station, for charging electric vehicles.

It’s the largest one of these I’ve seen so far, with about 15 separate charging stations.

These stations are designed for Tesla vehicles but it is my understanding there are adapters available for purchase to allow other brand vehicles, such as Nissan Leaf to use Tesla stations.

Tesla Supercharger Station in Cambridge

This area is just off Highway 401, Canada’s busiest highway, at Highway 24, so I expect the capacity of this station is geared not just for local vehicles, but those coming off the 401 for a charge.

Website and SEO Dilemma for Small Business Owners

The dilemma I see many small business owners go through has to do with time, knowledge, and keeping up to date with what the search engines want from you in order to keep your content rankings high enough for people to see it.

Google and the other search engines are constantly saying they want websites to give fresh new quality content on their websites if they are to rank the website’s pages high in the search engines.

But what we’ve found is most small business owners don’t have the time to create that content, or the knowledge on how to structure it so that it’s presented in a form the search engines want.
